Kisubi Associated Writers Agency (KAWA), a beacon of educational progress in Uganda, is steadfast in its mission to revolutionize the educational landscape. Since its inception, KAWA has been committed to making a profound impact on the lives of learners by collaborating with educators nationwide. Our vision is clear: To make the greatest impact possible on the life chances of learners by working with educators across the country to ensure they are trained, empowered, and supported to be the very best.
Founded by senior teachers from St. Mary’s College Kisubi, and receiving unwavering support from the college’s alumni and the Ministry of Education and Sports since 2011, KAWA has grown into a national force. Our network now spans across Uganda, bolstered by strong connections with universities and both national and international partners.
At the forefront of educational innovation, KAWA specializes in providing professional development services that enhance learning outcomes for educators, schools, and children. Our approach combines the best of both worlds – blending face-to-face workshops with online learning. This unique combination, augmented by virtual teacher support and mobile services, is designed to dramatically improve educational outcomes at both national and regional levels.
KAWA’s journey has been marked by strategic partnerships that enrich our offerings. We are proud to collaborate with Learn with Grandma UK and the Uganda Communications Commission on the ICT Clubs project, working towards integrating technology into education. Our association with Edify Uganda focuses on leveraging education technology and promoting Christ-centered education in Non-State Christian schools. The Iceland-funded Namayingo District Development Program supports our initiatives in fishing communities, while our work with the National Curriculum Development Centre emphasizes the digitization of the curriculum.
