KAWA Uganda, as a leading EdTech organization working with teachers and schools, is grounded in a set of core values that guide our mission to transform education through technology and capacity building. These values are the pillars of our organization, shaping our strategies, decisions, and interactions with all stakeholders:
Commitment: KAWA is dedicated to fostering educational excellence and enhancing learning experiences through technology. Our unwavering commitment to this cause is guided by the scripture: Colossians 3:23 – “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” Our dedication is to serving schools with passion and purpose, as if serving the Lord, ensuring that every effort in education is imbued with quality and diligence.
Humility: At KAWA, we approach our work with a spirit of humility, understanding the vital role of educators and respecting the collective wisdom of the educational community. Philippians 2:3 – “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.” We are inspired to collaborate with schools and teachers selflessly, valuing their insights and experiences in shaping the educational landscape.
Respect: Respect is fundamental in all our interactions and collaborations. We honor the diversity and uniqueness of each school and educator we work with. 1 Peter 2:17 – “Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor.” This scripture guides us to show respect to all involved in the educational process, recognizing their contributions towards building a better future.
Integrity: Integrity is the cornerstone of our operations and relationships. We strive for honesty and transparency in all our dealings. Proverbs 11:3 – “The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.” We are reminded that integrity leads to a trustworthy and stable organization, which is crucial in creating a positive impact in education.
Stewardship: As stewards of educational technology and resources, we are committed to managing them responsibly for the betterment of learning environments. 1 Peter 4:10 – “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” This verse encourages us to utilize our resources and talents to serve the educational community effectively, ensuring that every school and teacher benefits from our initiatives.
Transformation: At the heart of KAWA is the goal of transforming education through technology and capacity building. Romans 12:2 – “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing, and perfect will.” We are encouraged to embrace innovation and continuous improvement, challenging conventional methods to create a more effective, inclusive, and inspiring educational environment.
