The records of how the early Church was established in the Mediterranean lands of the Roman empire have a great deal of relevance modern Christians" Although there are obvious differences between life in the Roman empire and life today in our modern world, there situations, problems and opportunities facing the early Christians can be compared to those of our time. We can identify basic principle in specific situations in the early Church which still apply today.
