OFFERING OF THE FIRST FRUITS OR HARVEST

(Deuteronomy 26:1ff)

Moses commanded the people of Israel to present their first harvest to God after having settled in the land promised to them through their ancestor, Abraham.

Each and everyone was required to take a basket full of the first part of each crop to a place of worship and present it to the lord as a sacrifice.
