Conditions for the development of Desert soils
• Very little rainfall(125-375mm)
• Requires very high temperature (300-350C)
• Gently undulating plains.
• Develop from limestone or sandstone as parent rocks.
The economic values are:-Unproductive soils whose agricultural use is limited. Support scanty pastures for nomadic pastoralism. Few crops grown with irrigation are Dates, Palms, Millet, Sorghum, and Maize. Provide building materials as well as for Industrial use.
