Estuary

An estuary is a drowned river mouth which is wider at the sea and narrower at the interior.

An estuary is formed when a river enters the ocean in the senile stage but forms a wide channel at the mouth. A river entering the ocean with strong current of water, sweeping and eroding rock particles.

The deposited materials are later swept several Kilometres into the ocean. The water in the ocean extends inland, along the deep eroded mouth of a river.
