Nature of manpower problems in LDCS
- Lack of skills:- Much of the labour force in LDCs is unskilled.
- Inappropriate skills:- The poor education 'system produces people with qualification that are not needed,
- Brain drain:- There is high out flow of skilled labour force (brain drain) due to differences in payments.
- Poor manpower planning:- There is excessive supply of labour in some area and a shortage in others due to poor manpower planning.
- Unemployment:- There is high rate of unemployment due to shortage of co-operant factors.
- Misuse of skills:- There is high incidence of mis allocation of the skills e.g. appointment of skilled people into political offices.
- Use of expatriates:-There is a high incidence of using expatriates who are very expensive.
