Effects of the Warm Ocean Currents.

•    The current causes warming effect along the Coast of Mozambique, Natal and Eastern Cape Province.
•    The on shore trade winds pick up moisture from the Indian Ocean and blow inland.
•    On reaching the land, which is warmer, the air is heated, rises, expands, cools, condenses and results into rainfall.
•    The current leads to the formation of rainfall in the region.
•    It is responsible for the favorable climate in the Natal region where sugar cane is grown.
