Economic uses of Savannah Region

•    A home of variety of animals especially elephants, lions, leopards which have led to the establishment of National game parks and Game reserves.
•    There is commercial livestock and ranching especially in areas with water.  Areas near desert practice nomadic pastrolism.
•    Cultivation of crops especially cereals such as millet, sorghum and annual crops.
•    Plantation farming takes place especially with irrigation.
•    Hunting also takes place in forested areas.
•    A variety of trees provide fruits for human consumption.
