Conservation and management of the environment in Africa
African countries have taken some possible steps in the conservation and management of natural resources such as the water, soil, forests, wildlife which are usually interfered with as man exploits the environment for his survival.
There is however other natural or sometimes man induced catastrophes that threaten the existence of man. The natural calamities include drought, floods, pests and diseases, earthquakes volcanic eruptions and winds. The man induced ones are desertification, soil erosion and population explosion. Below is the identification of the problems and their suggested solutions.
