The Objectives of the Bank.

The objectives of the East African Development Bank are:-

To provide financial and technical assistance to promote the industrial development of the member states.

To give priority to industrial development in relatively less industrially developed partner states, thereby endeavouring to reduce the substantial imbalance between them.

To finance projects designed to make economies of the partner states increasingly complementary in the industrial field.

To supplement the activities of the national development agencies of the partner states by joining financing operations and by the use of such agencies as channels for the financing of specific projects.       .

To cooperate with other institutions and organisations public or private, national or international which are interested in industrial development of the partner state, and

To offer such activities and provide the objectives of the bank.
