Questionnaire


This is a designed instrument used to receive relevant information or responses from the respondent in writing. It is used by formulating relevant questions which must be geographical in nature for the respondents to answer.


Advantages

There is no risk of influencing the respondent's answer
 
It is easy to administer compared to interview.
 
There is no risk of data collector being harassed by respondents
 
Many respondents can be reached within a short time
 
It can be mailed or handed to respondents.

 

Disadvantages

It is limited by high mortality rate

Wrong information can be purposely given or information is deliberately hidden.

Faulty and ambiguous questionnaire may yield misleading information

It is expensive to administer

You may not get information immediately

It is also limited by uncooperative respondents
