Wave erosion

This works through processes like hydraulic action, solution, abrasion and attrition. Wave erosion leads to formation of features such as cliffs, wave cut platforms, caves, gorges, arches, stacks, headlands and bays. These features can be found along Algeria, Namibia, and Madagascar, Ghana coastlines among other areas.

Ocean waves transfer energy from the wind through the water. This gives waves the energy to erode the shore.
