Education policies for Uganda
In order to improve the quality of education, curriculum shall be revised.
The share of government expenditure on education shall be increased.
Basic education integrated into rural development projects will spread to all regions of the country in order to encourage rural communities to learn the art of self-reliance.
Teacher-training facilities will be improved so as to raise the number and quality of all teachers at all levels. This will imply improvement on teacher/student ratio which will in turn reduce dropout and repeat rates.
Public enterprises and private organizations will be encouraged to provide a training fund that will finance training to employees for both short and long term courses.
The government will seek all possible assistance from world organizations and bilateral donors in order to achieve the outlined objectives.
