ICT CLUBS

Welcome to the ICT Clubs Initiative, proudly established by KAWA since 2017. Recognizing the transformative power of ICT in education, KAWA pioneered the ICT Clubs concept to foster technological skills and innovation among Ugandan secondary school students. With generous support and partnership from the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC), these clubs were successfully launched and have rapidly expanded.

Today, approximately 283 secondary schools across Uganda actively participate in the ICT Clubs initiative. Our dedicated students engage in a variety of enriching activities, including coding workshops, robotics projects, app development, digital literacy training, cybersecurity awareness, and multimedia production. These activities are thoughtfully designed to equip students with essential 21st-century skills, preparing them not only to excel in various national and international ICT competitions but also to become innovative problem-solvers in their communities.

Participation in KAWA ICT Clubs has significantly impacted students, fostering improved digital literacy, critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity. Members gain practical experience in emerging technologies, helping them to develop essential skills such as programming, digital content creation, teamwork, and effective communication.

We warmly invite educators, students, and all stakeholders to join us in this exciting journey towards a digitally empowered Uganda, where students are not just passive users but active creators and innovators in the digital world.
