It also includes education administrators such as education officers and teachers in special education programmes. It involves planning, managing and providing education and training services, and related learning support services.
Education is the cornerstone of development, good governance and administration. Everything actually hinges on education and training.
Modern economy, governance and administration is conducted by educated people.
In fact, the quality of a nation is judged by the quality and focuses of its education and training programmes, 'no nation is better than the quality of its education', so is the current saying.
Education and training is also the most flexible or diverse career cluster, with the most clear career development ladders.
It offers excellent opportunities for students who like children, and are keen on the welfare and advancement of others. The skills for teaching and the subject know/edge of people engaged in this careers are easily transferable to many other areas, like administration, community works, counselling, social worker, politics, health, banking.
In fact teachers are the most diverse people. However, many students think that teaching is limited to working in a primary school or a secondary school. Many also think that it does not pay back.
