 The word Genesis means the origin or the beginning. In respect to the bible, the book of Genesis gives an elaborate explanation of the origin and the beginning of everything that exists in the universe.

The origin of human beings, animals, sins, suffering and salvation among others are well illustrated in the different chapters of the book of Genesis. The first two chapters look at creation as the process through which all living and non-living things came into existence.
